The original creator of the Monkey Island series (as well as other amazing LucasArts adventures from the 90s) is bringing the series back to life and it's coming in 2022 under the title Return to Monkey Island. Ron Gilbert's last game, Thimblewood Park, was a fantastic game with graphics from the era of Maniac Mansion while combining comedy with a really interesting mystery. Ron Gilbert still has it!
Devolver Digital along with LucasArts and Ron's own company Terrible Toybox are publishing the game and have so far only revealed the announcement trailer. Let's hope this game brings it real old school and brings it to physical format too.
