Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge Launching 2021

Let's travel back in time to the 80s and 90s when being a kid meant Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle consumption was making us fat in entertainment. Dotemu (Windjammers 2 and Streets of Rage 4) and Tribute Games (Mercenary Kings) is bringing a new beat-em-up featuring the four turtles we love so much. Instead of forcing 3D graphics into the scene, they went right for the nostalgic heartstrings with 2D pixel art work and the original 1987 animated show characters.

Shredder's Revenge will be a four player co-op brawler that already is getting some things right: couch co-op and online co-op. Let's hope they announce cross-play which was the only disappointing thing in Windjammers 2 and Streets of Rage 4 for me. One thing about both developers is they know their stuff. If you played any of their retro inspired games, you can tell these are fans making the games and not just dead shells of nostalgia milking us gen X and millennial types of our hard-earned McDollars.

If you're not a fan of turtle green, you'll also be able to kick booty as April O'Neil, Master Splinter and hopefully Casey Jones. The developers have confirmed they'll be adding a lot more gameplay enhancements and modes to the game with nothing fully confirmed yet.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is coming to PC stores like Steam and more than likely PlayStation, Xbox and Switch in 2021. Let's hope this one rocks, dudes!
