E3: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction Announced

Originally this game was called Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Quarantine but I guess the idea of a bunch of quarantined individuals being turned into zombies and having the military step in to slaughter them was too much for Ubisoft. Pathetic.

The name Rainbow Six may have you believe you'll be saving a nation from terrorists as Tom Clancy intended but in extraction, you'll be joining a team and laying waste to aliens and zombies. This mode was teased a few years back in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege as a special mode and with it's success, this was created.

I don't know how I feel about it so far. Maybe I can't detach the Tom Clancy and Rainbow Six from the title to give it a fair shake, but I'm not jumping up and down for this one. But that may change once I get to try it out.

On a very positive note, the game features 3 player co-op with cross-save and cross-play on launch across all of it's release platforms which include PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series / One X, and PC. Well, PC except the most popular storefront: Steam.

You can pre-order here. And if you want to dive into the types of achievements and trophies it'll have, enjoy this list that's already up.
